Dust Storm

The dust storms over here are really interesting. The wind will come up, and some dust will start to kick up but then it calms down and the dust just hangs in the air until it gets blown out by the next weather front that comes through. The air is thick with dust, you can taste it and feel it on your teeth and you don’t want to even think about what happens when you blow your nose. It looks weird outside too, everything has a grayish red tint and everything just looks eerie. Then the dust will settle and cover everything and there will be blue sky all in the matter of a few hours. The dirt here is as fine as talcum powder and kicks up even when you walk so it gets dusty all of the time.

hey bro-in-law,

your blog sounds like your a little upset with the crappy weather over there. I think you need to look at things from a different point of view. You know that saying that someone is so tight that if they put a lump of coal up their butt a week later they pull out a diamond. Well I bet if you eat enough of that sand and drink a little bit of water in a few days you just might poop out a couple of pearls. Just think how many pearls you will have after a year !!! Just a little thought to brighten your day.

The Dust Storms sound like some of the stories I have heard about the Dirty Thirties. You need a bandana like the cowboys used to wear to keep the dust from their noses.

HI!!

Thank you for the weather lesson. We are currently in a winter storm warning, snow with high winds. Would you like to trade?? Sorry, no deal. Our trip to Susan's was great. They were all well, and Brian and Katie were good too. The Sled Hockey, was very interesting and the guys did quite well. The beat Germany, Japan, Italy, but lost to Norway and Canada. Facinating stuff. However the trip was good. We like to fly Southwest. Grandma says hi, too. Keep the news coming we enjoy your commentary.

Love Grandpa Brewster
